I am looking for a very good beach/back water resort in Kerala to spend about 10 days. Any reccomendations?

This is not a very busy time in Kerala.It will not be a bad idea to just land there and look up accomodation.This way you can also bargain and get a good deal.Vivek

Thanks for the replies. I am actually looking to go there in the first week of July. Is that the time when Northeast monsoon strikes? I am looking in specific for a honeymoon type destination..if you know what I mean....a private villa or some of that nature, by the beach or some lake/backwaters and preferably a very private place. Cost is not an issue.

hi there ,

well june/ july it will be pouring over here in kerala , but again it depends where u are in kerala ,there are lots of beaches , the new destination is varkala , i belive this is a nice beach and its not that crowded , in the monsoon u'll be the only one there i guess , hey kidding ok , and if the price is not an issue , taj has got one of their properties there ....
then the next one is kovallam near trivandrum , you can check there too ,
and near kasarcode northern kerala , there 's a place called bekal fort , its catching up ....
hey if ur looking out for hill stations let me know , i'm from wayanad ....

Do a URL search for Kerala Tourism. There are houseboats available, which could be perfect for a honeymoon.

As wrote Wocca look for houseboat in kerala it's a nice experience
