As ive never been before i cant say exactly where ill be an when but my plan is to start sydney and work up to cairns and then if i have time do melbourne, i will be in sydney upto two weeks i think (as i say depends on how i get on there) but would defo meet him at some point and keep in touch along way..as itll be good to share tips!
As you've been before...what do you make of the greyhound/oz experience? im considering using one or the other but wont book until get there (think ill do oz exp if i struggle t meet ppl)
also ) the yhs is more flashpacker but figured after a long flight could use it! but i dont wana arrive and not meet ppl. the wake up is appealing but as much as i love partying i wana do more sightseeing of this trip and i know thats a lively hostel and someone said it was better for under 21s??(decisions decisions)
any tips would be great a few ppl have been good with there advice so guess i need to make a decision lol

Definately the best decision not to book anything till you get there as regards to the greyhound/oz experience, i personally did not use any of these but havent heard anything bad about them...........with australia, the best plan IS NOT TO PLAN!!
I did this and a week after being in Sydney i went halves on a campervan with someone and ended up driving all up the east coast to cairns, all across the outback down through alice springs, looping up through adelaide and melbourne back to sydney. OZ in a campervan it was INCREDABLE. You'll find lots of people with campervans over there looking for people to join them on drives to help out with petrol, you'll see notices everywhere in the hostels, it will be like HEEEYY I GOTTA CAMPERVAN IM HEADING UP TO BYRON BAY ON WEDNESDAY GOT SPACE FOR 2 PEOPLE CHIP IN WITH PETROL GIVE US A CALL etc etc, Its definately better than coaching it as you'll have a lot more flexability and oppertunities to see a lot more youd miss out on a sat on a huge coach with 2 or 3 stops.
Dont plan anything, keep everything in mind and go with the flo when u get there, everything will fall into place when u start meeting people. Make sure you stay in dorm rooms in hostels its the best way to meet people and the cheapest way to live, i stayed in a wicked hostel on Bondi beach called the Biltmore....... but do ure homework online ull find the right one. My bro is staying at the wood duck. it looks a wicked place very sociable and a great place to meet people.
I send u a private message with my brothers facebook details if thats okay xx
thanks for this and yer thats fine about fbook xxx
