Well, everyone's different I guess! I was actually watching the beautiful architecture as I was walking toward Leicester Square in London (yes, looking up and not at my feet) when I stepped into a hole, lost my footing and landed on all fours on the sidewalk! Of course it provides for a cute little anecdote of my trip to London, and I was more amused than embarrassed so I didn't mind it even then.
Looking up instead of at my feet is how I managed to fall down the marble stairs at the Paramount threatre. Most embarassing moment of my life, but it's one of my favourite anecdotes.
Now that I think about it, I do tangle my feet up on sidewalks a lot...
Looking up is how I took one step more than the pier had length and ended up in the ocean - the impact forcing the top of a strapless dress down to my waist. The applause was deafening, but then... so was the laughter.
I blame it all on two left feet. (Yes, a peculiar genetic defect, or a bad dream... I'm not sure.)
