Hi guys,

I have already posted about this but I will just say that I understand Bee-elissa's comments above in some ways. It is probably the same every country you go to.

But the thing for me and my best friend was that we hadn't been travelleing before and for us, coming out with a comp[any such as UltimateOz gave us not only an amazing first week, but also the confidence to go off and continue on with our own travels.

I can understand if you have travelled a lot before and are comfortable with being in new places and not knowing anyone, but the UltimateOz package helped us to make a group of friends within our first few days & we didnt have to spend time figuring out all the tax, bank account infomration that I saw so many people struggling with. We literally arrived, had fun, met people, got jobs & a place and we felt settled in straight away.

Everyone has their opinions about travelling but from my personal experience, I think it is unfair to paint such a bad picture about something that is very helpful to people like me who are new and a bit nervous about travelling on their own.

Btw for your info, the Harbour Cruise with UltimateOz was not just a quick trip on a ferry - we were out for hours & went cruising all over the place, with drinks & food & had the BEST night out so far! ;)

Anyway, to anyone thinking of their options when coming out to Australia, I strongly recommend coming out with an organised group for so many reasons. In fact, when I get back to uk i'm going to change to working in travel so that I can work with companies who do the same thing in the uk.
What a brilliant job!

Hey bee-lisa,

I understand your opinoon and I used to think like that myself, but honestly, Ive been changing country about twice a year for the past 10 years and yes, most of what Ultimate Oz offers is doable alone, but for once I really have no desire to struggle going from one place to another and rushing to get all the paper work done in time (which is usally impossible because you never have all the documentation and you have to get it sent to you from home and blablabla.. )

Plus, theres also the social factor, from what I understood it is pretty easy to make friends once you arrive but when you travel alone, and that you know absolutely no body, the idea of having some people who "care" about you more than someone you just had a beer with is kind of comforting..

The minute I booked the package the Oz team contacted me and they've been really nice and just as fast and effective as said on the brochure and so far I have no reason to regret my decision :)

Hey guys - it's Sarah from Ultimate Oz,

I have read through everyone's comments & many of them are valid. The way each person decides to do their travelling really just comes down to personal preference.

All I know is that I've been working with the Ultimate Oz and TCP company for a year now & I know first-hand what a great bunch of people we have here & also how much fun we have all had with each group of travellers that come out to Australia with us.

To Lucy who is thinking of changing careers to work in travel (like us) when she gets back to the UK, I say GO FOR IT. It honestly is so much fun, the best job I have ever had for sure.

Australia is so much fun - have a blast everyone! :)
