Me and a girlfriend are planning a trip to Europe of about 5 or 6 months. We'd like some advice on how to plan, how much money we should have to start of with. We also want to work our way around different places. How do we get a good job, should we wait until we get there or contact places before we leave. We would like to start off in Barcelona, Spain. Which hostels are the best there? ... Should we travel by train? Hope someone can help!!!
Rough Guide do a few books for first-time travellers. There's a 'First time around the world' book that is for general world travel and includes overviews of all continents, and i think there's also a 'First Time Europe' book too that you'd probably find useful.
I used it as a starting point to plan my trip as it gives you basic adive on everything you'd need to plan for your trip.
There are so many books that list ways of getting work overseas. If you go into any book shop they should have someting like tis. Also for general advice about prices, places to go and stay etc.. unless someone here knows anything specific, the best thing would be to get a book again, perhaps something like Lonely Planet??
Thanks for the advice..
I will go out and get some books. It's a starters anyway !
