I'm currently in Buenos Aires, here for a few days and then off to explore... well, not quite sure exactly. I hope to be in Argentina until mid-February, then to the Bolivian amazon, then to Peru until 1st April.

If anyone has any suggestions regarding accommodation or tour agencies, or if anyone is around and fancies a travel companion who has no idea how to read a map, then please contact me. I'm a 23 year old British female who has a thing for cheese baguettes.

Hi,

I'm doing the opposite route to you. Will be in Peru for most of March and will then be making my way to Chile via Bolivia and Argentina.

I expect to be in Bolivia during the last week of March so maybe we can meet up there!!

Just wondering how much you have budgetted for your trip.

is that to jo or me, I dont know you see?!! If it was for me then about 900-1000 pounds per country.

My question was directed to either of you!

I was budgetting around £1500 for 2 months. I'm trying to keep costs as low as possible so am hoping that will be more than enough!

If you were to spend roughly $35 per day which I think is generally an average amount in 8 weeks you would be spending $1960. Convert that with a current exchange rate for someone like us which is 1.84 to every pound.. 1065 GBP. The other money that you will spend will be on travelling and the occasioanl splurge. The amount you have taken should be fine.
I'm only taking that much money because I have saved a fair bit, and I have roughly budegeted 900-1k per month so I know that I can last 6 months for def and be able to do EVERYTHING you see.

Hope that helps, Tarik
