Hi Dodger,

Yeah Khoa Sok is the NP I researched yesterday and it looks well worth a visit so going to get there from Krabi. I take it you recommend on checking it out?

I will be sure to look up Phang Nga also; is it easy to get to?

Cheers for the tip when landing in Krabi, I will be sure to take note of that mate!

From Penang U can cross Penang Island to mainland Butterworth. From Butterworth you can proceed to Butterworth Railway Station. U can catch a train to Hatyai directly from Butterworth. From Hatyai there a a lots of bus and vans to Krabi and Phuket

yeah Khoa Sok is a great place and the village is really cool too.

Phang Nga is a short bus ride, a couple of hours I think from Krabi. The town has little to do, but its worth it for the boat trip and the caves.

Hi, Just did same trip 2 weeks back by bus...took bus as flight was costly (RM 300). Actually it was very convenient than expected by bus...took morning 5 AM mini bus (RM 35) from Penang to Hat Yai, mini cab will pick you up from your hotel...it took around 4 Hours including immigration & visa (Got the Thai visa on arrival at border). Then from the main bus stand in Hat Yai got the VIP bus @ 9.30 AM (Thai Peso 316) for Phuket via Krabi. Bus was pretty comfortable, it took around 7 hours to Phuket with 1 lunch break. Overall it was really easy, comfortable & safe trip.
