the tickets go on sale next friday at 8, fanclub members bought them this week, i saw them in slaine though i liked the peppers better !!!
music wise i listen to basically everything, today its maroon 5, peppers, stereophonics, anouk, bob marley, thin lizzy,
Well, you have to admire U2 dont you, even though Bono can be a bit of a spanner occasionally. I think their "band ethic" or whatever you could call it has been their strongest asset throughout the yrs. I hope u get tickets anyway.
I'm into everything and anything myself - i like a lot of alternative music, some electronica, eastern sounds, swedish pop, irish trad (love that!), classical...the list goes on....basically if i like the sound of something then i listen to it.
yeah bono can be annoying, last time in between songs he kept lecturing the crowd about doing the right thing..... you just wanted to scream at him to sing,... but his dad had just passed away so you also had to feel sorry for him....
have you ever been to the willie clancy festival ???
HAVE I WHAT!! i love the WC festival - have u come down to Miltown for it before?
yes, i was at it in 2003 and i had the best time !!! we were camping out, got totally drowned, were dying of flues but heard some of the best musicians and had great craic , we'd only gotton off the bus and decided to rest ourselves in this tiny pub on the corner for a quick drink , that was at 12, we left in the end about 8 hours later, when we walked in it was quiet but when they found out we were 'WC Virgins' they started a sing song , it was great, i'm heading there this year again hopefully !!!
Willie Clancy Festival? Milltown?
Sounds like a gathering of Mucksavages for the ritual slaughtering of sheeps and tunes to me.
Just kidding, I just like to call people mucksavages, I really like that word.
Educate me please, what is that festival, sounds interesting.
good stuff. yeah get down there early next yr. if one of your friends has a car load it up full of food, drink, duvets, and camp in comfort! try and bring someone with a guitar or who's not afraid to start up a sing-song - great craic!
you never know we might meet down in Spanish Point!
Phil - shame on you !!! i've told you about it before !!
we were camping just off spanish point with two other couples, one was from canada and the other from japan, they were brilliant musicians !!!
you should know by now that my mind is complete banjaxed and I forget things very quickly.
When it is usually on? Where?
