yeah it's a great place to meet backpackers and foreigners. and the locals in that part of the world are a breed apart - complete mental cases! and no-one ever minds if its pouring rain down there

spanish point is a great place all yr around even though there's nothing there! it gets the surfers from around the country most of the yr...

That's probably from centuries of marrying their relatives!
I have to check out that place once the weather gets better, there might good photo opportunities.

Pardus,

It's held every yr during the summer in Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare. Trad musicians from all over the world come to play in the pubs - there's a music school for people who want to learn - it goes on for about a week and it's the best craic you'll ever have in Ireland - guaranteed! you should check it out next yr

Woho, I have to go down there, pack my guitar and oil the oul' voice cords. I'd love to learn some of the traditional stuff, I know quite a few of the rebel songs by now, though I haven't practiced them very much. The other day in Africa we've been singing loads of songs in the Car (basically all I could remember) but for some I was missing parts of the songs. Ah well, time to get practicing again. But everytime I take out my guitar and start singing away my neighbours decide to put up picture frames on their walls, the hammering is a bit distracting.

Do I have to wear a white Aran Jumper and have a big bushy beard? Or a Leprechaun costume (I am not wearing such a thing on my last, get this idea out of your head, Nikki)

47. Posted by Rraven (Travel Guru 5924 posts) 11y

ahhh but you promised you would wear it on your last day !!! if you don't wear the leprechaun costume then you have to dress as a girl, one way or another you have to dress up, it'll be a laugh

The second option would be cheaper, as I already have all the stuff, whoops.... It's out now, buggger.
That would be funny, I'd have to keep the beard though, just for the maximum effect!

Haven't seen that movie, but that would be good. I am already the Guy with the mighty wind, hahaha......

Did anybody ever fart in a bottle of sparkling water and closed the lid after that?
