Very shocked and sad to see this post on Facebook. Haven't been around on TP for a long period but I had many conversations with Marlis over the years here. She was truly a lovely person, a real adventurous soul and a lady. I never knew she was ill :(

Goodbye Marlis. x

I was shocked by this update on Facebook...

I had a long association with you Marlis, you embraced me so warm-heartedly as a friend, we exchanged quite a few PM's and then it is hard to believe you are no more... I salute you for being so lively, energetic and a positive way of life...

Will miss you Marlis...

This is shocking and very awful news.

Marlis, you will be sorely missed by the many, many people you touched here at TP.

I may be writing out of turn here, but speaking strictly from the TP Mom side of me...

Thank you to all who have posted in this thread. It has shown how Marlis touched people's hearts, was in contact with so many members and was truly admired. Though I neglected to mention in our response, Peter - the tribute is absolutely lovely.

RIP, Marlis. I wasn't able to get to know you well enough, but your posts showed you were a warm-hearted, genuine person that I'm sure brought lots of happiness to other people's lives. You'll be missed!

While I did not know Marlis personally, I have never heard anything but sweet things about here and what a wonderful genuine person she was. I know she will be greatly missed by the TP community.

God speed.

I also haven't been around on TP much lately but when I read these news I was really shocked. Marlis and I exchanged a few messages and interacted several times and I thought of visiting her on Bonaire when we travel to the Caribbean later on this year. So sad to hear she's left us now. Ruhe in Frieden, liebe Marlis.
