Well, first there are the funny places (unusual places to eat):

(1) Lucky Cheng's (food served by drag queens)
(2) Ninja NY (New York, NY)—be served by ninjas in an underground Japanese castle
(3) Mars 2112 (Times Square area, New York, NY)—be served by costumed aliens while eating in this reconstruction of a Martian crater

Then there are the top comedy clubs if you are looking for places where the people on stage are funny:

(4)New York Comedy Club--24th street near 2nd avenue
(5)Dangerfield's--on 1st avenue between 61st and 62nd streets
(6)Comic Strip Live--2nd avenue between 81st and 82nd streets

And then there are just the places that where you go to have fun:

(7)Radio City Music Hall--6th Avenue at 50th Street
(8)Broadway plays--all up and down broadway and on 42nd street
(9)Times Square (corner of 42nd and Broadway)

Then there are top museums:
(10) Metropolitan Art Museum
(11) Guggenheim Museum

Then there are the places to go for those whose idea of fun is buying something:
(12) Diamond District--47th street between 5th and 6th avenue
(13) Fifth Avenue--anywhere between 40th street and 60th street
(14) Macy's (world's largest department store)--34th street
(15) Wall Street--One Wall Street
(16) FAO Schwarz Toy Store--767 5th Avenue

Then there are those who have fun at sporting events:
(17) Yankee Stadium (NY Yankees)
(18) Shea Stadium (NY Mets)
(19) Meadowlands (actually in New Jersey)--NY Jets and NY Giants football and also soccer matches
(20) Saratoga Racetrack (on long island)

and, of course, there are tourist attractions
(21) Empire State Building--34th street
(22) Statue of Liberty--board the ferry at the south end of Manhattan Island
(23) United Nations Building

and then there are memorials
(24) 9-11 Ground Zero (site where the World Trade Towers were destroyed)--although I'm not sure this last one falls under the "fun" category

Enjoy

Couple of notes to Calcruzer's post when it comes to racing- Saratoga Racetrack is in Saratoga Springs, New York (roughly 170 miles away), so I believe he meant to suggest Aquaduct racetrack (on the Queens, Long Island border which is open for the fall/winter season) and Belmont (open for the spring/fall season - the summer racing is at Saratoga), also on the Queens/Long Island border.

and there are about another billion things to do in NYC, from free kayaking on the Hudson River, to Bowling to Pub Crawls, to Opera and jazz festivals all depending on the time of year and what you like to do.

Quoting agatheNY

My friend found an accomodation with [removed the name of the company you're spamming] which we can find on google, do you know more about it?

When you're trying to spam, it helps to get your story straight between the different threads you create. Not, you know, that we'd allow it through even then, but at least it wouldn't insult our intelligence.

Moderator's Comment:

I have left both post #5 and #6 in place so those visiting this thread will see there really isn't any need to add more replies. But, because 3 members did respond, hopefully their information will help those who really do want more information about New York.

Yes, I meant Aqueduct, not Saratoga. Thanks for the correction of the racetrack in my post above.
