I was wondering if anybody had any amazing rail routes/ cities to see in a month by train.

I am also going to be traveling alone - is this silly?

30yr old female.

Enough to see in Europe, that's for sure. If you're mainly interested in hopping from city to city and get a to see a reasonable amount of countries, you can travel through eastern Europe to Istanbul, and back f.e. via Greece/Italy. Then you'll end up in a mega roundtrip with lots of countries visited ;). But it is also probably worth the visit to spand some time in mid-east Europe.

Travelling alone is not so silly ;) Quite a lot of people do that, and you meet enough people along the way, be it in the train or in a hostel or so.

Have fun with planning :)

I was on train trips around Europe twice in 2008 and 2010. I used Interrail global pass tickets.

Although my trips were much shorter, I didn't have much time in places I visited I enjoyed it very much. I took the following routes:
2008: Berlin -> Amsterdam - > Paris -> LaTour-de-Carol -> Barcelona -> Saint Raphael -> Monaco -> Rome
2010: (I traveled mostly in Spain): Berlin -> Paris -> Leon (Spain) -> Ponferrada -> Madrid -> Seville -> Granada -> Rhonda -> El-Chorro -> Malaga -> Blanes

After those trips I can tell you only one thing: GO FOR IT!

It's totally worth it.
