I just watched the news update that OBL will killed by the American military. I don't want to celebrate the death of anyone, but it was way past time that bin Laden left planet Earth.

Mike, I agree. Those who have lived a good life do deserve a celebration of that even if it is after death. But, in my personal opinion, this man deserves no celebration - before or after. Yes, I understand the 'celebrations' around the world as he caused the deaths of people in more than just the US. People are happy he is no longer #1 on the Most Wanted List. Now he will have to account for his 'sins' on a higher level (depending on one's beliefs).

If nothing else, a 10 year search for a single man has ended.

I would never celebrate anyone's death but I can't say that I'm sorry about Mr Bin Laden no longer being with us either.

When they tipped his body into the sea apparently Elton John was present, and he sang "Sandals In The Bin"

It was quite moving apparently.

James - that is so wrong on so many levels. But, to be honest, it didn't stop me from having a giggle just on the creativity alone. You never fail to impress in one way or another. ;)

If you missed it, here are a few of Jay Leno's jokes on bin Laden.

"Osama bin Laden is in the ocean. How ironic. Once again surrounded by seals."

"Osama bin Laden was apparently shot twice in the face. It looks like Dick Cheney may have been involved."

"Bin Laden was buried at sea. Or as Dick Cheney calls it, 'the ultimate waterboarding.'

Dick Chaney, the gift that just keeps giving, at least for Leno.

Missed all of those, Mike. I'm fast asleep by the time Leno, Letterman and the rest make their nightly appearances. I'm afraid a 4:30am wake-up call doesn't afford us the 'late night' shows - which I honestly miss watching. (Don't presently have recording capability so miss a lot of things these days. Probably better in the long run...) ;)

I miss a lot. :(

I usually go to bed between 12-1am. I am still wondering why anyone gets up at 4:30am? It is not even light yet!!
