Hi all gurus of TP,

I am going to Portugal for about 10 days in june. I am spoiled by having too good time while traveling, but now this is all I have. To get the most out of it I hope some of you have some advice about where to go and places to see. I plan to travel by train and bus. I can get decent priced tickets flying in to Porto and out of Faro. Will I be able to travel that distance and still enjoy it in such a short time?

Stine

Hello!!
I'm not a TP guru, but I'm portuguese :)

So, I suggest you start in Porto, at least 2 nights. From there visit Braga or GuimarĂ£es, spend 1 night there. After head south, stop in Aveiro, explore the city and spend the night there or head up to Coimbra and spend the night there. After exploring Coimbra, continue south to Lisbon. You should spend around 3 nights in Lisbon, and one of the days travel to Sintra, a near by city. After Lisbon you can go straight to Faro, explore the Algarve area a bit, maybe go to the beach the last days before leaving Portugal :)
So.. something like this:

Day 1 - Porto
Day 2 - Porto
Day 3 - Braga / GuimarĂ£es
Day 4 - Aveiro - Coimbra
Day 5 - Coimbra - Lisbon
Day 6 - Sintra
Day 7 - Lisbon
Day 8 - Lisbon
Day 9 - Faro or some other city in Algarve.

Or if you don't want to spend that much on the road, just do Porto - Coimbra - Lisbon - Faro.

It also depends on what you like to do :)
