This thread is marked as being about Visas (Thailand)

Hopefully someone can help me. I'm travelling to Thailand for a total of 6 weeks. During these six weeks I plan on travelling to Bali (for a week), laos and cambodia. Do i need to get a visa for this because it is over the 30days? but im leaving the country? I would really appreciate any feedback!!thanks!!

Hi Dolly,

Every time you leave Thailand you'll be able to come back in on another Visa. So you should have no problems.

Elliot is right. You will get a free 30 day visa waiver when you fly into BKK. That visa is invalid as soon as you leave Thailand. When you return to Thailand after your excursion to Laos & Cambodia, you will get another 30 days if you fly into Suvarnabhumi. If you enter Thailand via a land border, you will only get a free 15 day visa waiver. Plan accordingly. Good luck to you.

What if you dont plan on leaving Thailand but do want to stay over 30 days?

Contact your Thai Embassy. They offer visas that will allow you to stay up to 90 days. Good luck with your planning.
