Pete, my point is that since you appear to be looking for some kind of "freedom" why in the world would you immediately limit yourself to the constraints imposed by complete strangers before you even step out the door?

With minimal social skills it's laughably simple to hook-up with other like minded souls on the road... people who you meet without prior obligation and without predetermined rules and plans...

These are the people who will help expand your options and ideas - not perfect strangers who are afraid to leave home without an already pre-assembled generic posse of other Nervous Nellies to lean on...

Cheers,
Terry

Terry I Apolagise if I sounded fesecious, your completely rite, I'm used to travelling but iv never done it solo before I was allways mob handed, your totally rite ofcourse and I would prefer a like minded travel companion, truth Is tho I don't have a clue where I'm going to go so I am subjectable to outside influence, in a way I want the freedom to conform with who I want if you know what I mean and I hope that I'l meet someone that will suggest something that I wouldent have thought of myself and hopefully I'l have a great time as a result,

I genuinely appreciate your advice and again my apologies for sounding sarcastic.

Cheers

Pete.

Dear Pete,

No need to apologize for anything. I was only attempting to make a very simple point... there's no need to willingly put handcuffs and blinders on before you even leave home.

Unless you're still sleeping with your Mom it's ridiculous (in my opinion) to restrict yourself to the whims of complete strangers before embarking on one the best things a human can do to discover their self awareness.... TRAVEL.

Different strokes...

Cheers,
Terry

Haha... Pete, in the light of day (and sober) I realize that comment could be taken as a cheap shot. It was in NO way directed at you, I was simply making a very general, sweeping statement, that's all. Sorry if it came off sounding like a low blow.

In any case, tranquilo and stop worrying so much... a trip isn't supposed to always be easy and non threatening... you're supposed to push your personal boundaries a bit, otherwise why leave home at all?...

If you ever get near Havana drop me a line and I'll buy you a few mojitos...

Travel safe.

Cheers,
Terry
