I'm American and I just finished up my one year working holiday visa in Australia. From what i found out from immigration, American's are only allowed one year to work in Australia. I am also in the process of getting a Polish passport (my parents were born in Poland). Does anyone know if this means i can apply for another working holiday visa through my Polish passport? Thanks!!!
I think in principle this would work, but does Poland have an agreement with Australia regarding the working holiday scheme? I don't think so, which would mean it wouldn't be available for Polish citizens.
I'm not sure. I thought since they were part of the EU that they would have one. I'd have to look into it. I'm just iffy about whether or not Australia gives out another year based on another citizenship. I've heard people do it before but not sure if there are consequences involved for doing so.
Sadly, it's not based on EU or not. You have to have the citizenship of one of the countries that has a working holiday agreement with Australia. Here's a list of countries that currently have agreements in place.
