I have one large map for the whole trip and on each entry page I insert a portion of that map suitably zoomed in to show the area matching the text. (This is an amalgamation of the maps into one main map, rather than lots of little maps).
I have filled in the arrival and departure dates for each place on the main map and thus would expect that to be matched up with the dates on the article to "star" one of the stops (probably the first matching date) on the small map inserted in each page. Yet it does not seem to work. Or is it not supposed to do that? To check this please see the first few entries of the 2011 Tiki Tour.
i. Option to put arrows on the lines. I have lots of lines going in various directions and arrows would help with the understanding.
ii. The ability to edit the curve on all types of transport, not just airplanes. I have to mark everything as airplane so that the lines can be moved around to make the map look better.
iii. The option to have differentiate on the map the different forms of transport. This could be done by colour, dashes, dots, etc.
iv. The option to miss out lines so that back tracking can be left out if it makes things clearer.
I went from Dubai to Muscat to Sur (a great place to visit), back to Muscat, back to Dubai and then onto Cairo. The lines on the map returning from Sur to Muscat to Dubai are unnecessary in my opinion and I would like to get rid of them to remove clutter. My text indicates where I have been and so extra lines are messy. Double headed arrows could be used to indicate back tracking along the same route.
I am using Opera 11 for most of my work.
Many thanks and keep up the great work.
