Hi Everyone

Myself and my girlfriend are going to be in Bangkok for the chinese new year. Does anyone know which is the best street(s) to see the parade and when it'll be.

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

Sorry I have no idea about Bangkok.

But if you're in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 23 Feb, which is also the last day (the 15th day) of Chinese New Year, head on to the Chinatown, aka Petaling Street, in late afternoon.

There will be lion dance performances and stunts hired by a few prominent shops there (which have obviously made huge profits) to usher the new year with lots of good luck. If you're lucky, you may also see dragon dance performance circling the area. These performances normally starts at about 3-4pm and ends before dark at about 7pm. Those performances with stunts usually begins from 5pm onwards.

Don't be late, as you need to secure a good standing place for a good view. Oh, yeah, and don't forget your cameras with fully charged batteries!

Anybody who wants to go there can drop me a line, as I would be there too!

Cheers,
Hien
