I head to New Zealand on the 31st August with a WHV and I am just trying to pick the brains of anyone who is there now or has been there recently, in realtion to the work situation. I am currently in Australia where both the money and ease of getting jobs has been pretty good, but I have heard that New Zealand is not so easy. Is this the case?

My background is in TV Production so I assume Auckland is the place to be for this? However, I am also open to working in a totally different industry so long as it is interesting (with boats, ski seasons, extreme sports etc)

Where is the best place to be for work? What industrys seem to pay the best?

Any help is really appreicated

Hey 1t

Also try there are loads of jobs in pretty much every industry. If all else fails there is always bar and waiting work,

Auckland would definitely be the best place to find the most opportunities seeing as a 1/4 of the country lives there.

If you are wanting to travel around the country and work fruit picking would be the way to go. But that doesn't get really busy till the weather warms up.

Hope that helps.
