Is It ok to post my blog?

Travel Forums System Talk Is It ok to post my blog?

I recently found three moving boxes full of slides from european trips my parents and grandparents took in the 1960's and 1970's I have begun to scan them and restore them. I got so excited because It is a project I can work on with my father since he is retired and I am a college student at the moment living at home with him. I stumbled upon this travel blog site and it is just what I was looking for! We can write a vintage travel blog and post pics of what europe used to look like! I also have detailed travel journals from my grandparents trips. They spent months at a time going all over Europe.

The only issue before I start working on this is I wante dto check and make sure how to do it so I don't break any user agreements. I'm an artist and on other websites I have I sell prints. Some of the restored slides I post will be for sale on my own sites. However, I am not mentioning the name of the sites on my blog or travel posts. I am not linking to any items for sale, and I am not promoting these pictures as products. The goal of my project is to get my dad to write. You should have seen how excited he was to find this! Is there anything else I need to do? If I keep my website business separate from my blog, will this be ok to post? The only mention is a link back to my website in my profile and on the first blog post I mentioned I am an artist working with these imagesa, but I made no links to sites.

feedback welcome. I don't want to bend the rules. I am just double checking before I get going on this! Thanks. regardless, this is such a fantastic site. I spent six weeks in Israel on an archaeological dig and traveled there as well and would like to blog about it.

Sam and Peter are the final word on this, but personally I'd say it should be fine to link to the sites where you're selling prints as well in the sidebar of your blog (you can add links there in your blog management area under manage -> links) - just don't promote those links up every time you post (either here or on the blog).

This should be no problem at all, either the way you describe, or having the links in the side nav like Sander explains. Enjoy the blogging!
