Hi all,

After days, weeks, months looking into cameras ive decided to opt for a 'normal' camera rather than a waterproof one. I would like to be able to use a camera for snorkelling etc and am looking into underwater housing.

Does anyone have any advice on these, i'm looking at the gomadic waterproof camera case.

Now to look at it just looks like it would protect from rain etc but apparantly its waterproof for up to 20 metres?????

I mean if this were the case why wouldn't most people just buy a non-waterproof camera and then buy these!? especially as you can get them for around £20.

I'm just a bit wary if they do protect your camera well for use underwater. i wouldnt want to go and buy a camera, use it with the case and completely destroy the camera.

Any help will be appreciated.

Jas

Well there's a difference if you're going to buy underwater cam and an underwater housing. You're not quite sure if the housing would really work. What if it would leak through and wet the camera? But of course, buying underwater camera could be expensive. It's up to you if you think it's worth the risk.
