Hi, I am looking to do a trek either this winter or next year. I am a single lady and looking for some one to travel with who is of like mind. GSOH a must. I just feel that I need a challenge or goal in my life and the trek will be something to look forward to and work towards. I was quite ill last year and it made me look at my life and whats important..............................live life to the full because no one knows what tomorrow may bring.
Is therer any one else out there thinking the same and wanting to join me ????
Hi, I am a single lady (44 years) from Sydney who has had a dream to trek to the Gokyo Lakes in Nepal for over 25 years and am finally doing it! Like you, I really need a goal in my life at the moment.
I will be departing Kathmandu on 1 November for the flight to Lukla and returning to Kathmandu on the 15th November. I am looking for one or more like minded people to join me. If you are interested in Gokyo Lakes please let me know. From what I have read the scenery is spectacular and the trails are quieter than the Everest Base Camp trail.
I plan to take the trek slowly to prevent acclimatisation problems and more importantly because I want to enjoy every minute! I will be staying in tea houses and organising a guide and porter (fortunately, I have a very close Nepalese friend who works for a trekking company. I have travelled with him before and he is very reliable, honest etc).
If you would like to know more about the route I will be taking; cost etc please let me know!
I think I have sent a reply.........................hope you got it. You can find me on facebook, cheryse caba. Really interested in the trek. If you can let me know the costs etc , we can then chat more.
Hi there when you will be landed in Kathmandu Airport (Nepal) than you will be staying in Thamel which called tourist hub place where you can find a dozen of trekking office. So anyone of them you can ask for trekking companion and you can join if you wish to come here.
Wow! A trek on winter? I would have loved to. I love trekking but never tried it on winter. Sadly, I got plans already. I hope you can find a companion on that one.
Yes you are right no one knows what tomorrow may bring ... so it will be wise to enjoy and experience what we have today.....! Life is mixed with joy sorrow and any thing comes in front of it we have to face .. which is challenge of life . If you give me the permission i would love to meet you and join and share and exchange the experience of life with you ... Thanks
