All right. Word on the street is that it's simplest for an American like myself to get a visa at the airport, instead of ahead of time. Is this really true? Anyone feel like walking me through the process? I'll be flying into CAI.

Thanks, guys!

Hey there,

I am almost 100% sure you can get your visa on arrival at the airport.

Get off the plane and head for arrivals. If you haven't received a arrivals card from the aircrew then there are shelves on either side of the corridor where you can collect and complete an arrival card. At the immigration desks/queue look to the right and there is a money changing booth there. Buy your visa from the money changer man (it's a self adhesive stamp) before you get in the queue for immigration. Once through immigration the rest is pretty standard. Get your bags and head through Customs and out. I strongly recommend you organise a transfer/airport pick up with your hotel so someone with a sign can meet you there and guide you into town. The arrivals hall is madness at the best of times!

Have fun!
