I am visiting Barcelona in end August, and would like some tips from people about places to visit nearby- particularly if it is scenic natural beauty. I have about 3 days in total free, so time is limited, but would like to maximize it.
Any comments or help would be appreciated.
Most of inland Spain is quite scenic with mountains, fields and small villages. The beaches can look good too, tourists aside. Perhaps a day trip to Andorra which passes through some nice countryside?
Montserrat is only 24 miles away and is quite nice.
Thanks for the excellent suggestion. A few more questions:
1) What would be a good way to go to Andorra? Bus? Train? And how much would it cost?
2) I have to attend some meeting at Hotel W Barcelona. Can you perhaps suggest some good budget accomodation nearby?
3) If I am staying in Las Ramblas area, would it be possible to get a train/ taxi at night to go from Hotel W to Las Ramblas area, or to the Barceloneta area?
Thanks in advance!
