Just wanted to give my support to nzhamsta when it comes to lines on a map. When I click on a trip I want to go directly to the area of choice. Including the flight from the other side of the planet makes the map of each trip more or less useful, as it involves four or five new clicks to zoom into the relevant parts of the map.
It is however nice to see on the stats page how far I've travelled over the years. The problem with the stats page is that the airplane stat completely overwhelmes the rest. It is not the flight from home to Beijing and back that is the point, but the journey inside China itself.
I am new here, and have a mix of airplane inclusions and not on my trips. Don't know what to do really...;)

There's some missing uploads for this on secure. The map_stats_moon.jpg e.a. images don't show on secure, and if on I hover over over the left-most mode of transport (currently unspecified), leaving that mode of transport again keeps it obscuring all other modes of transport (excepting airplane).

Have you ever calculated your carbon footprint??!! Do you realize how much you contribute to the global warming?

I haven't done an exact calculation, but I think my contribution roughly amounts to 0.0000000000000000001% . Or a bit less.

I'm actually very conscious of my carbon footprint. I generally offset all my trips by planting trees. Not only that, but I own shares in a windfarm, buy all my electricity from 100% renewables, drive a hybrid car and catch a train to work. I still like to travel though and am not about to give that up. Since offsetting is about the only option available to minimise the impact, that's what I do.

That sounds almost unbelievable. :) If only everyone was so conscious.

It's not really that hard to take a few steps like this. Kind of wish I could get rid of the car entirely, but unfortunately that just doesn't work :)

I believe you. What city do you live in, is it possible to ride a bike there?
Would you know about any good and reliable carbon footprint calculator? I have found a few, but neither of them is very sophisticated.

I live in Melbourne - you can ride a bike pretty well in the inner suburbs here, but I live about 45 minutes out of the centre by train. By bike that's about 2 hours. Drivers are also less and less bike-aware the further you are from the centre.

CO2 calculators are inherently not very accurate. They have to make big assumptions to be able to simplify the calculation process. I've used the Greenfleet one in the past. It's really just an estimate though.

I think I am blind. :) I can't find the calculator, is it the Tree Totaller?

Yeah, Tree Totaller looks like it :)
