Lowe Alpine Airzone 45 +10 as a carry-on?

I need gear advice from seasoned backpackers.

I'm planning my first backpacking trip to SE Asia, which last about four months. I'll be travelling quite light, which is why I'm considering the Lowe Alpine Airzone Centro 45+10. I very much like the design and the variety of pocket.

I want a backpack that can comfortably fit the essentials, but is also compact enough to take as a carry-on. My concern is that the 45 Alpine (at 45L) is too big for carry-on size, which is why I'm considering the 35L version, the Osprey Porter 46 (which for some irrational reason I find off-putting), or some other 40L travel pack.

Any input is much appreciated.

Hey. I went for the Lowe Alpine Airzone Centro 45+10 and it was quite feasible as a carry-on. As long as you don't fill it to capacity it should be fine. It's a great bag and quite comfortable to carry around even when fully packed.
