Hi. Has anyone booked transport in Central America in advance through Bamba Experience? I've been quoted 274 Euros to travel on 1st class buses and water taxis on the following route:

Cancun - Valladolid - Merida - Palenque - Flores - Belize City - Caye Caulker - Chetumal - Tulum - Cancun

1st of all I was wondering what the costs of these tickets is likely to be (I've never travelled in this part of the world) if I booked them myself (I assume I could save money by travelling on Chicken buses, rather than 1st class) and 2nd, how does it work with Bamba? They said I get an e-code, but no tickets to print off myself - has anyone used this system and did it work ok?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Phil

You are not just paying for first class travel but for them arranging everything too and giving you peace of mind. However presumably you would have to commit to a tight timetable you could not change?

You can do it yourself a lot cheaper by using ordinary buses (not too bad, but certainly not first class) to get around but it is a matter of sorting out schedules yourself, maybe waiting overnight if you miss a bus, looking for connections, etc.

If I had the money to spare, I would take it but really, only you can decide this.
