Travel Forums Europe Urgent Help with recommendation in Lyon

Hi, I booked a room in Hôtel Kyriad Lyon Croix Rousse in Lyon. But I need to cancel it now. I tried to contact them but the mail address given is wrong and the phone number is wrong too. So, I can't contact them at all! Could anyone help me getting in touch with this hotel or could anyone confirm me that this hotel actually exists? I am really worried and I have no idea what to do now.
Thank you very much for the help.

Did you book this hotel through travellerspoint? If so, go to the contact page, select "I have already booked accomodation through Travellerspoint" and detail your situation in there; that should swiftly get the admins here to contact the booking provider (hostelbookers) to find out the correct information for you. (Worst case the booking provider also will be unable to get in touch with the hotel, kick them from their system, and cancel the booking for you.)

Hi, thanks very much!
I booked it through travellers point and I did send a message to the contact page, with the topic of "I have booked accomodation through travellerspoint". But I haven't got any reply yet. I am still waiting for it.

I have some urgent changes in my traveling plan so I just want to cancel this reservation. So, if in the worst case, the reservation can be cancelled and i won't be charged for the full amount, it is not bad!
Thanks again for the help! Do you know how long does it take for me to receive the reply?

Generally speaking you can expect them to reply within a day, though there's only a small team on the other end of that form, and they're only human, so I expect that due to unforseen circumstances it might sometimes take a bit longer. When's your booking for?

In general, even if the booking would be for tomorrow, I'd expect them to take the stance that it isn't your fault that the contact information for the hotel is faulty, and that you shouldn't be held responsible for not being able to cancel in time.

(And even if you hadn't contacted them, you'd never be at risk for the full amount of your booking (assuming you've booked for more than one night); with no shows only the first night's accommodation is charged.)
