I am going to Australia on the 6th of November for a year and I was looking for some advice on places I should visit while I'm over there

Most of the places worth visiting are on the eastern side of Australia. Perth on the west side is a fairly long plane ride away. Public transport is pretty good there, save hiring a car.

Hobart is only a short hop from Melbourne and some visit New Zealand while there, though it is a fair distance away and not cheap by air.

You might want to go up north next year when the Australian winter approaches as it can get quite cold down south.

You should invest in a Lonely Planet guide to Australia which will give you all the information you need to know.

Australia is a big place can you be more specific in your quest. The east coast is generally the travelers route but that is massive. So give us a place you plan to visit and i can help with some great places. Live in and travel OZ quite extensively.
