hi all. im currently travelling on a rtw ticket and have now got the option of either going to north america or south? has anybody been to both, which one would be better as it will probably only be for a month. Also with the USA option will there be complications getting a visa and stuff and how much will the visa be?

thanks

North America is as commercialised and globalised as anyone would expect. The only adventure you'll have there is if you are held up.

I don't know what country you are from but this site might help if you plan on going north:

South America is still interesting with Peru probably having as much to see as the rest of the other countries put together. However it is the rainy season there at present (though weather is so unpredictable that you may see hardly any rain) and mid winter, which usually means that at high altitudes, nights can be cold.
