Hey everyone,

I'm currently looking to head over to Melbourne some time in the next couple of weeks.

I'm 22, and live in Perth, but orginally from Kent. Haven't had a great time with the job search since I finished uni, but just kind of feel like doing a bit of travelling round Australia before I get too old. I'll admit that I've been reluctant to do it due to the whole travelling on your own thing, but I guess that's the idea, meeting new people along the way.

Like everyone else, if anyone wants to discuss meetups etc, give me a buzz on facebook. The name is Gary Wilkinson (wearing a yellow football shirt, standing next to a random German girl).

Hi All! I just arrived in Sydney yesterday and well, so far so good! I'm staying with some locals at a house in Surry Hills until the beginning of December, hopefully find a job by then and then I'd like to do some traveling around after the new year.

Anyone else just arrive or arriving soon? I'd love to meet up with some fellow travelers! I'm going to start exploring the city tomorrow--can't wait!

I land in Sydney on December 2nd, cant wait to get out there! bit scared as going it alone, but oh well!
I recently returned from aus in early September with hardly any money, after being to Bali and Aus. And I decided that I dont wanna work in UK in a boring 9-5 job so heading back out to aus on a working hol visa.

I spent most my time in Byron bay when I was in aus , and really would love to head back that way and maybe find job round there, so if anyones keen on that too let me know!

be cool to meet someone in syd when i arrive who also wants to head to byron area, as i will probably stay in sydney for a few days when i first arrive.

Hope to make it to OZ next year.

Still looking into it.....

Is three months the longest to stay?

Planning to visit friends in CC, NZ for a few weeks.

Any info from locals on ETA and working in OZ.

Been to 63 countries so far....

Chances are you don't need an ETA; an eVisitor is equivalent for people from most Western countries, and free.
If you want to stay longer than three months, then you can apply for a tourist visa (also possible when you're already in Australia).
