You can find some of them here. I think there's a part in this forum called "Travel Companions". Try asking for advices from them on where they got/found travelling companions.

Yes, we can travel with their own or with family. There are many destinations in India in which you can travel by their own.

Travelling on your own is the best way to go and see the World- you can do what you want, when you want. You don't have to be responsible for anyone else and have the freedom to do exactly what you want. I was the same as you before I started travelling properly; I initially spent a gap year in New Zealand http://www.smallerearth.com/uk/new-zealand/gap-year-new-zealand/ which gave me the confidence to believe in myself. These days I do most of my travelling alone and spent some time in Cuba recently, which was amazing!! Seriously, just go for it - you won't regret it! Please PM me if you want some advice.

I had been a solo traveler since 2012. Generally I am a pioneer when it comes to doing the things on my own. I'm not really a big fan of organized trips. So as a solo traveler, I have the freedom to choose where i want to go when I travel. I do the occasion guided excursions but most of the time I like to explore on my own. If you like the feeling of exploration and discovering things on your own, then solo travel is ideal. ). Plus you only have to worry about yourself and not have to put up with anyone else.

I had visited Goa when I was the solo traveller. Also, you can take help from the travel agency.
