Im an Australian, in Hungary. I am waiting for my LCA to process in USA (got a job there(E3)). So im hanging out in europe for the time being, as going back to Australia is too far. initially i thought it wouldn't take more than a month, but it already has. And i don't know how much longer it will take.

So i need this Schengen multiple entry visa.

Right now im in Budapest. Dont really want to go all the way back to australia to get a visa...

As an Australian, you can enter the Schengen area on a visa-waiver, which gives you 90 days. This is much easier than for many other nationalities. But, on the other hand, there is no multiple entry visa for citizens of visa-waiver countries.
What you can do, if you have to stay in Europe until your US visa has been approved, is to leave the Schengen area now. Go to Croatia, the UK or Ireland, for example. This will be cheaper than booking a flight back to Australia.

Agreed. Go to the UK. You are allowed six months there.

Thanks, that kinda sucks, so there is not 1 year tourist visa i can get or anything?

ive only been here for a month, so i don't really need to leave do i? or is there some reasoning to go it now?

england is kinda expensive. Maybe ireland.. But i like budapest and would really prefer to stay here if at all possible.

So you have only been in Europe for one month??

There is no 1 year visa for Europe unfortunately. It really sucks. Maybe you can try getting a Hungarian visa. Just google Hungarian Visa for more information. I think you can apply for a residential visa or a working visa.

yeah, ive only been here 5 weeks. So my US visa might still come through in time.

Thanks for tip about the hungarian visa, will look at that now. Cheers.
