KimmyKim has indicated that this thread is about Marrakech

planning to take a trip to morocco in december for about 10-12 days. my friend and I, would like to experience the culture along with having a good time. We would like, to sleep in a updated riad, live the berber life for about 2-3nights and then a hotel. Any good recommendations? Also, on another travel site, it stated if we stayed in tangier, we could catch a ferry to some parts of italy(genoa) spain or france...anyone now of this info?! Any info, would be appreciated!

Thanks,

KimmyKim:);)

also, if anyone is travelling there during this time and won't to hook -up and explore the town, leave a message!

Hi Kim,

I visit Morocco 1 year ago, and had a great time, we hooked with a tour operator himself, and we toured the south east of the country, it was an amazing tour. you may google our guide's name [ Youssef Aitha ] I dont remember his website.

I never been to tangier, but hopefully we will take the ferry and spend 3days in this city as I heard so many beautiful things about it.

Hello Kim,

Through your Holiday to Morocco you could travel to Marrakech for a few days to discover the madina then Cross the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi n Tichka in order to arrive to the Hollywood of Africa ( Ouarzazate ) do not miss to visit the kasbah of ait ben haddou where they have been filming a lot of movies like: La Momia,Gladiator,Babel..... you can go also to Merzouga dunes where you can spend a night under berber tent through the road of one thousand Kasbahs, and Roses valley,Todgha Gorges, then heading to Fes,Chaouen,Tanger from there you take a ferry to spain.

Happy travel

Zaid

Just to correct the previous member, Babel was filmed in Tazzarine, Our guide took us to some old village which they used as background.
