woodcut33 has indicated that this thread is about Edinburgh

Whisky tasting, sight seeing, staying in hotels or couchsurfing. Beautiful city. Only been once before in June and only passing through. Would love to experience Scotland in winter. Will also consider anywhere else in the country. Islands and highlands? Looking for someone to share the experience (and the whisky).

I am a 27yr old female from England

Hi ya I'm currently up in Scotland at the minute, in Stirling. I am looking for someone who would be up for exploring a bit more of the country - it's so beautiful.

I'm not a whiskey drinker per say, but there's always room to try :D

Where are you from?

Hello.

I'm from Gloucestershire.

How long are you in Scotland for? Do you have anywhere in mind that you would like to visit?

Stirling looks nice!

It really is. Well basically from this Sunday onward - am at uni there. I've always wanted to explore up round the north a bit more, but anywhere really. I have holidays from uni from end November to Feb so time isn't really an issue :)

I will be in Edinburgh December, only for a few days though and it will be my first time in Scotland, which is quite shameful considering I have been to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, etc, etc!

Are you a whisky drinker Steve? Or willing to find out if you could be? ;-)

I wouldn't say I am an avid whisky drinker, but I certainly wouldn't object to doing a bit of whisky tasting!

I'm not a big whisky fan, but would like to be. Just a tad too strong for me I'm afraid. But I am up for joining in the festivities :)

Going to buy some rough guides today for some ideas on where to go and what to see. There's so much information online it's difficult to distinguish the best bits. Any ideas welcome :)

Anything as long as it doesn't involve skiing is good by me!
