I don't mind the idea Mim - I'll just let this thread continue though, as there seems to be some doubts. I think Raven's comment that it might also mean less thank you notes in return is a valid one.
The thing is, from my point of view, I wouldn't mind using it to give negative reviews. There are a few travel helpers who I suspect of only promoting their tour company through the travel help feature; this to me would warrant a big fat 'thumbs down' rating or something similar. But of course, that may not be in the friendly spirit we're trying to keep going
I'm happy with the feedback from giving travel help. Some people acknowledge, others don't. I assume that if I don't get any feedback, then no further information is sought
I wouldn't mind a system of some sort...just because I don't get many thank yous. Maybe we could have a generic thank you letter? Like, "click this button to say thank you." It's true that it would make actual thank-you-letters go out the window, but I'd say 50 per cent of those you help usually never send one anyways. It all depends on the person.
Hmmmmm.....how about scratch and sniff sticker system!? If you did good, you get a strawberry and if you did bad you get an old sneaker! lol (that may be harder to do though.... )
And for all those that said "thank you," don't mention it!
