Hi,
I am soon going to Panama City for business and I would like to know what I could do in town for a few hours or in the evening as well as info about day trips/tours in or around the city.

Thanks,

You can take a nice stroll along the promenade at the seaside. It is totally secure at daytime.

You can take a tour through the slowly-being-refurbished-but-still-pretty-good Casco Viejo portion of the town. A beautiful old architecture part of the city and a great piece of history...It's fallen, in alot of place, to disrepair, but it's getting better. You can see a part of the Canal in no time, and can hire a cab to take you there and wait for not very much....The aforementioned Promenade is lovely, and has some interesting art fixtures going in. You can take that same cab that took you to the Canal to take you to the top of Cerro Ancon. A nice over view of the city from there....

....that's about it. I really don't think PTY is all that special, to tell you the truth. Panama is nice, but the city is bland, if'n ya arsk me.
