Hello every great person on this site that looks for something different.

I decided today, this is what I want to do with my life, at least the next 10 years.

How do you become a paid travel photographer and writer?

I know this seems like it has an obvious answer> Travel to places, take photos.

I think you know what I mean, so, to simplify>

What sites, agencies, steps, books, people do I need to go to that can further tell me how I can travel the world taking photographs and write about it.

Of course the paying part just needs to feed me and accomodate me so that I can continue doing this as long as I want.

I have decided that my life won't be much until I travel the world and make art while doing so.

You might like this interview with Timothy Allen that we did a while ago. He's a pro travel photographer. Really, it depends how good you are at photography and/or writing. If you're great at telling a story through pictures and words then you stand a chance. If you're still learning, then really it's probably impossible.

If you're really good at taking photos, why not try something like iStockPhoto and start making some income that way? If you're good enough at photography and creating images that people are willing to pay for, then you might build that up to the point that you don't need to stay in one place tied down to a job. Not an easy thing though.

I have exactly the same dream and I am determine to do it! Life is meant to be fantastic and joyful and only when you do what you love and want, you will feel that joy! I think you should just go for it. As Buddha says: If you love what you are doing, you will be successful! If you just do it and love it, you will become a great photographer and people will see in your photos that they are taken with love and passion and that is something you can't fake!

Nothing is impossible and there are always new ways to make a living on it and as you said: Just enough to get food, accommodation and money to keep on traveling. I hope we can keep in touch and push each other. Right now I am in Costa Rica doing a documentary about being volunteer and takes both videos and pictures and I have decided to stay and travel central and south america to april instead of going home to Sweden 11th of November.

Everything is easy with the passion and love for what you do!

What are your plans?
