Hi all,
I'm new to this so don't know what I'm doing...

Me and my friend are planning on driving down to Cape Town from UK though France, Spain and to Morocco from there we don't really know where your aloud or where to avoid?

Has anyone got any advice for us and any routes ?

We would like too drive down the west side, so we came up with this... Fez, Rabat, Marrakech, Laayoune, Nouakchott, Bamako, Ouagadougou, Accra, Abuja, Douals, Yaounde, Libreville, Brazzaville, Kinshasa, Luanda, Windhoek, Cape Town then to Victoria Falls, Harare, Dar ES Salaam and the rest on the roads back to the boat for Spain.

Can this route be done without two many problems ?
Do you need a visa and is there any hidden cost's ?

We will be using my Land Rover TD5 Discovery with a few extra bit's added, I'm a Agricultural engineer and I do off road events so I'm able to fix any problems and cope with the driving easily.
We won't be going till next year

Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard,

A friend of mine has done it in 2010.

You cant put web pages done so I will do it another way then.

Google troutrek they did it for their wedding alot of site on line. I am planning the trip to South Africa, 2014.

You need to keep on top of the news, visas, car services, parts alot of stuff, have a look at troutrek he did alot on homework before he did is trip.
