Hi my name is Guy field im 19 from Portsmouth, England. Im very new to all of this but ive been talking to my freinds about going travelling for ages and have finally taken the plunge and decided to just go for it. I want go to many country's to count but ive decided i want to go to one country and work for 6 months to a year and come back to dreary boring england and then had back off again on some more adventures. Ive applied to work ski season next year and have been accepted by one company (got my final interview in london next month) to work in canada for 6 months +.

If all goes well i hope to be out of this country and enjoying life. Im just looking for advice of how to plan my adventures, anything doing the same thing, everything is going to help!

Guy Field

Your first steps in this adventure seem to be the right ones: have a job lined up.

Hope you get the job.

The same company owns the 2 most famous & probably biggest ski areas in the country - one in Québec north of Montréal, the other in British Columbia north of Vancouver where the 2010 Olympics were held.

In either place, you should meet people from everywhere, either as locals or tourists.

Neither place is a "normal" environment & you'll need to go to where the "real people" live to get a better feel for the locals.

Good luck.
