We're going to Malaysia for about 2, maximum 3 weeks, and we're struggeling a bit with our itinerary. Does anyone have any itineraries to recommend?
Have also heard that the weather on the east-coast gets pretty bad from oct to feb, and that a lot of resorts closes. Is this correct? And is it better to just do the west coast and skip the east coast if we're leaving in two weeks?
Thank you!! Travel safe.
I didn't find much to see in Malaysia. Penang Island is worth a visit. Kuala Lumpur for a bit of shopping, etc and maybe a day trip somewhere.
Generally the weather is just plain hot and humid that time of year.
May I know if you will travel in West Malaysia only? If that's the case, please check out Melaka, Penang Island, Cameron Highlands, Taman Negara (National Park) and Perhentian Island!
If you have time, perhaps should get yourself a cheap ticket in AirAsia.com and fly to Borneo (Sabah & Sarawak)
Check this out
Hope that helps!
[ Edit: Sorry, no promos please. ]
Penang - food capital of world
Langkawi - Beautiful beaches
Cameron Highlands - Spectacular views, walks and tea plantations
We loved Malaysia and had the same problem with rain on the east coast.
These are must. Rest all you can accommodate.
