My name is Merit, 20 years old and I am from Holland.
At the moment I am already in Melbourne, staying with family and I (kinda) have a job to get some money. But I can leave whenever I want so that is ok.
I am staying in Australia untill the end of March 2012 and untill now I have a lot of different things I could do. Like going to Tasmania to visit other family, or try and find a share house and find people there. But the most people in a share house can't show me around as they probably have jobs and studies etc.
Going to Tasmania also sounds very cool, but first I would like to see maybe the Gold Coast and Sydney and more. I want to be independent from my family, so that's why. And before I go home, i can always visit them too.
So, does anyone have other ideas for me or am I welcome to travel with someone? I can be a lot of fun, I am pretty much open for anything and I have the money to travel around for a while, but at some point I think I do need a job.
Please contact me!

Have fun those of you already in Australia, I leave in a week and can't wait. I've added you on facebook.
I'm heading to Darwin first then down to Alice Springs but will be in Australia for a good while and will be spending time along the East Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne & Sydney for sure, so it will be great to meet up with some fellow travellerspointers at some stage.
