I would have to agree with all of the last few posts. I live in the South of England and think that London or even Brighton where I live are great places to visit with loads to do.
I work for -snip- and the most popular destinations for this time of year are Cyprus, the Canary Islands, Portugal (basically anywhere on the Med), like mpprh said.
I was in Portugal not that long ago and found it really nice, great weather, beautiful beaches and the food was really nice. Not the cheapest place I have ever gone, but great for my family.
I hope this helps.

What would be your ideal dream honeymoon?
If it is to find a lovely secluded hotel, surrounded by fantastic scenery, offering great food, roaring log fires and fantastic service, then look no further than Scotland.
Maybe start with a couple of nights in Edinburgh, taking in the Christmas market and the many attractions in Princes Street Gardens, plus some great shops if interested. Then off to your luxury retreat for 2 or 3 days. If this sounds like your dream honeymoon then let me know, more that happy to give you loads of suggestions on places to stay and visit in Scotland.
First I would like to thank all of you for all the advices I receive from all of you, and at least for taking from your time and replaying on my post.
Mlinklater: it sounds good, sure I would like to know more and really I am interested.
Cruisetravelvip: great idea taking the train from London to Paris I love to do so.
But which is the better London or Scotland in December and for honeymoon? Will 7 days be enough if I would like to visit both of the countries? If not how many days are enough?
Switzerland for the sheer beauty of the countryside and small towns - use the wonderful Swiss train system for intercity travel
(yes, it is expensive!)
