can you leave thailand, spend fifteen days in laos, and then re-enter thailand? do you just get another 30 day visa for thailand when you cross the border? joey

joe - you don't have to stay in Laos for 15 days. It's enough to leave Thailand and straith back.

hiya. i plan on getting the fifteen day visa for laos and having a look around, then after laos i want to go to vietnam. the overland route between laos and vietnam looks long and a bit tedious so i was thinking of coming back to thailand and getting a thai airways flight from bangkok to hanoi. apparently you can fly from vientiane to hanoi with vietnam air as well. i was wondering about booking with vietnam air and thinking that if i had to book that flight while i was in laos it might be problematic compared to booking an almost identical flight in thailand. i'm assuming that booking flights is probably easier in thailand than it would be in laos, so the thai airways flight from bangkok to hanoi for £100 appeals most at the moment. thanks for your help, joey

I don't see why it should be more difficult to fly from Vientiane - the best just check while there.

Coming back to Thailand you waste 1 day + expenses.
