We will be traveling to Venice, Italy for a cruise in May. Any suggestions on airlines? Has anyone flown on Alitalia and/or Iberia? Options?

I fly back and forth between DC and Venice every 4 months or so and I have to say that Alitalia has been a bit better service and food-wise it has better wine and pasta, but Iberia usually has the cheapest flights. Iberia is a toss up since you never know if the plane will be old or not, meaning you may have to sit in a rickety chair with no TV for 10 hours.

Buon viaggio!

Venice is in on northeast coast of Italy. If you need a good argument for trying the rural lifestyle, the food might be a good one. At many places, they make their own wine, olive oil, honey, cheese, salami, fruit, vegetables etc.

I frequently fly either of them, with acceptable results. It all depends upon when and where you intend to start your journey and which airline offers a better rate at that moment??:)
