Sydney for new year

Haha I didnt even notice the $3 drinks!! I was in Sydney last year and whenever I walked past the place it had a huge queue of ppl waiting to go in so Im assuming everybody was loving the thoughts of $3 drinks

I've only gone and booked the bloody thing havn I! Sweeeet! 1 week in the Railway Square and then a week in World Square. After that I'm gonna need to get a job or live on the streets haha

Hey, my names kate and im 23 from england just found this site and looking to meet other people who will be around in Sydney for new years 2012/13. I'll be arriving in Sydney on dec 29th and have booked 10 nights so far at Westend backpackers on Pitt st (stayed there in the past and it's alright, nothing special but it'll do!) would be nice to have spoken to few people before I go! Will be travelling on my own which I've done before but it was a few years ago!

I arrive in Sydney on the 11th december and Im planning on staying there until at least end of Jan. So you have been to Sydney before? Amazing isn't it!

Have you looked into whats on in Sydney on NYE? There is a big music event called Shore Thing which looks good but then id kinda also like to be at the bridge to see the fireworks.

Im travelling the East Coast throughout December and was planning to be in Sydney for NYE 12/13. Im from Manchester England travelling alone and like you guys have said would be good to know a few people before hand.

Absolutely love Sydney and Australia as a whole can't get enough and just keep going back!
I've had a little look, I have seen shore thing which looks good but I think I would want to be at the harbour to watch the fireworks as its looks to be one of the best new years displays in the world! :-)

Izaac- I've not been at Xmas/new year before but I think I'll need to get your skates on booking accommodation as it was busy even a few months ago! Have u been looking at any in particular?

Hey I reckon we're all into meeting people on this thing. Despite me bein really annoyin and constantly stealin everyone elses stuff. I keed I keeed. I'm lovely.

Yeah I struggled getting accommodation last week but I managed it so you should be able to find somewhere. I'd try 'Railway Square' and 'World Square' hostels that's where I managed a week in each over the festive period.

Goin alone is daunting isn't it. I'm tryin not to think about it just get meself on the plane and hope I am still alive this time next year. What else can you wish for really :-/
