Vsierra87 has indicated that this thread is about Belgium

So I'm trying to plan a trip to Belgium next summer to attend Tomorrowland 2012. The only problem is that I've never traveled out of the country and I'm from the states. I would like to see of anyone else is traveling there from the US and also seeing if i could possibly find a travel companion.I would definitely appreciate it if you all could at least give be some traveling tips as I have no idea where to begin.

Well I hope to hear from you all soon!

Thanks so much!

You've probably seen this trailer already:
Tomorrowland 2011: official after movie

You don't have to worry about travelling in Belgium, it's very easy with a lot of trains, buses and to cover the last stretch to the festival ground you can hitchhike, it's not uncommon in Belgium.

Belgium is really easy to travel round. I'm assuming you're flying into Brussels Zaventem? If so, I think there may be a direct train to Antwerp centraal from there, if not, it's about 20 mins from the airport into Brussels, then 40 mins to Antwerpen from there. Then get on a local train from there to towards the festival.

The trains are clean and efficient there, and almost never late.

The north is Dutch speaking, and almost everyone speaks excellent English, if you get stuck at all and need directions.

www.sncb.be is the website for the trains there, and I think it does have an English option (I lived there, and speak fluent French so have never needed the English bit!)

Spend time in Brussels too - it's a lovely city!

I do live in belgium and if you are not planning to reach the most remote parts of belgium, than you will be able to use the public transport.
You can take the bus or train from Zavetem (brussels international airport) or the bus from brussels charleroi airport. You can plan and estimate the cost for your traveling in belgium on http://www.delijn.be/en/index.htm or http://www.b-rail.be/main/E/

Depending on what you like to see over here I can point you some nice spots, but do you like culture? Nature?

Ofcource Antwerpen and Brussels are nice to see and if you have time try to visit most of the city's, like Amsterdam, Paris, Berlin, ... best way between those citys is hitchhiking if you want to do it lowcost or fly with ryanair or similar (but don't take luguage) or by train.

If you like the nature, try to get to the ardenne.

Tip, buy a "day-pass" or even a "5-day-pass" so you can travel unlimited troughout belgium with every bus and tramway. http://www.delijn.be/en/vervoerbewijzen/types/dagpas/index.htm

So i realize i'm a little behind on this post, but i am also traveling to belgium from the states for Tomorrowland '12. i'll be traveling throughout Europe for about 2months before the festival. I dont know if you plan on going anywhere else besides Belgium, but if you are going to be there for the festival, I'm sure it would be nice to meet up with a couple others from the US.

Also, for anyone else reading this from Belgium or anywhere in Europe, how much is it going to cost me to get from Antwerp to London?(my flight home is leaving 3days after the Festival) Thanks in advance for any help!

When I went to Belguim I got so amazed about how easy it was to get everywhere. And it's really cheap too and what's even better is that you can get almost everywhere by walking. I walked over 2 miles and I saw a lot of Brussel! So you don't really have to worry, it's super duper easy! :)

I'm from Canada but we love dancing and music just as much as you Americans! =P I heard about Tomorrowland 2012 recently and it sounds awesome. I'll be in Europe for a while before this date, maybe we can tour around and see what's going on. Where else are you interested in going before the festival? Does Italy interest you?
