Student Discounts Still Relevant?

Travel Forums General Talk Student Discounts Still Relevant?

Hello peeps! I still have time to become a student before leaving for my RTW trip in the coming year. I've heard that student discounts can save travelers a good bit in certain areas (at least in the past). Is that still the case today?

On my RTW trip I will be hitting just about every continent but Antarctica. Is having the ability to apply student discounts worth my time to achieve student status?

Thanks for reading!

Chris

In general I'd say no, not worth bother. But it depends mostly on where you are headed and for how long in each place. Some continents are better than others.

@Sam I Am: Will be hitting every continent except Antarctica on this trip. Here is main base post for the trip: http://www.travellerspoint.com/forum.cfm?thread=84351 Does that change your mind at all, or do you still feel it is a passable option?

Thanks

No idea where all in the world you can get discounts. But in Chile you will save (a little bit) money in National Parks and some Tours/ Trips with student status.
