When Kiwi fruit is cheaper in London than Auckland

I have just returned from a 6 days trip to New Zealand, to be precise, Auckland. For sure, it was a long journey for such a short holiday. I have travelled far and wide, but to be honest I never expected that Auckland is a very expensive city. I still can't believe that New Zeland produce is actually more expensive in Auckland than London?
